Southview Christian Church, then Tabernacle, signed a charter to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop on May 19, 1914. To this day, Troop 16 remains a vibrant part of the Lincoln community. We are proud to represent the longest consecutive charter in the Cornhusker Council.

A rather unique record with only ten Scoutmasters since the inception of the Troop.

The troop’s adult corp, consisting of committee members and assistant scoutmasters, includes newly appointed and  some who have been active with the troop for 10 to 30 years.

The troop has produced over 60 Eagle Scouts.
